Oso Emergency Funds

The Community Foundation raised $160,000 in an Emergency Fund to provide assistance for the communities impacted by the tragic mud slide on March 22, 2014. Consistent with the Community Foundation’s focus on sustainable solutions, the fund is assisting in the long-term recovery and community rebuilding efforts. The Community Foundation is working in partnership with local government entities, nonprofits and other community organizations to identify the best way to provide support to assist the people and communities affected. Thank You to our Lead Donors.

Grants to date – As of September 2014

  • $30,000 was awarded to the cities of Darrington and Arlington as a match for a regional, economic development grant.
